What is the Solar + Battery Members Plan?

Our Solar + Battery Members Plan is an interconnected system of residential solar and battery systems, also known as a Virtual Power Plant (VPP). Our Energy Plan collectively generates and stores energy to sell on the energy market at a superior price when electricity demand is high. learn more >

How does it work?

Your solar and battery system will be connected to our energy trading platform. This next generation platform uses real time data to make sure your home’s solar and battery system performance is optimised every minute, every day. You can view this data on the Members Energy App.

When there is an opportunity to sell your energy at higher rates than your feed-in tariff, we will draw the energy from your system making you more money. These earnings will show up as a credit on your energy bill.

How do members benefit?

Our members will benefit and save money in two ways:

  • Battery Optimisation – We’ll maximise and optimise your home’s solar and battery system performance by storing energy when prices are low (like at night) to use when prices are high (like during the day). This helps to lower the average cost of the energy you use.
  • Feed-In Tariff Guarantee – We’ll sell your excess energy from your solar battery back to the National Electricity Market (NEM) when the ‘spot’ price is high. Everything you sell is yours and your battery system will always maintain a minimum of 20% storage capacity for your usage.

How much does it cost?

We don’t earn money from the amount of energy you use. Instead, our members pay a Membership Fee of just $1.00 per day that gives you energy usage rates at the cheapest price available and access to our unique, next-generation trading technology that helps to maximise our members earning potential and save our members more money on their energy bill.
